This is still an early version of Windows 11 that has leaked, so not everything is included yet. The Start menu itself also includes rounded corners. These are visible in context menus, and around apps and the File Explorer. Microsoft is also using rounded corners throughout Windows 11. You can move the Windows 11 Start menu to the left side. Coupled with the dark mode that’s also available, and Windows 11 starts to look like a more refined version of Windows 10 than something dramatically new. If you don’t want the app icons and Start menu centered, there’s an option to move them all back to the left-hand side.
It’s really a lot more simplified than what exists in Windows 10 today. It includes pinned apps, recent files, and the ability to quickly shut down or restart Windows 11 devices. Or use a virtual machine to isolate it from anything important. Of course, if you do go ahead and download it, make sure you’re not putting it on your only machine or one you rely on for work. So, we urge caution and ultimately to stay away. When you’re downloading from a random MEGA link you found on the web, you have no such guarantees. When you download preview builds from Microsoft, they might be broken, but you can guarantee that they’re safe. The other side of that coin is that you’re going to be downloading from unknown and potentially untrustworthy sources. Even if you activate it with a legitimate Windows 10 license code, don’t forget that this is software you’re not supposed to have right now. For one, this can be classed as stolen software. There’s no shortage of press coverage of Windows 11, including our own, taking the risks so you don’t have to. Microsoft hasn’t acknowledged anything about this build, but it’s very much Windows 11 regardless. But this is also still a work in progress and, as we shouldn’t forget, an unofficial look. You’re probably going to love parts of it and definitely not love other parts. Essentially, this is Windows 10 with a new launcher over the top of it.
